Job summary

PT. Berca Schindler Lifts seeks an experienced Area Operations leader in Jakarta to guide field teams across elevator installations and service, and to drive growth in service, repair and MOD sales.

You will lead inspectors, technicians and staff, ensuring policy compliance and strong teamwork. The role requires a decade in the elevator/escalator sector, technical leadership ability, and strong market knowledge with English and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Desired completed university education in Technical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Experienced in elevator and escalator industry for at least ten years. Ability to lead a team and with technical background. Market knowledge and strategic thinking.
• Desired escalator product, market and industry knowledge, Communication skills, IT skills, English skills. Customer oriented behavior. Schindler Leadership Framework behaviors required.

Job description

• To manage and lead the Area Operation.

• Manage Existing Installation area portfolio in order to achieve Service, Repair and MOD targets.
• Manage and handle area portfolio to propose and negotiate for Service contract, Repair Sales and MOD Sales and target.
• Perform inspection and ensure compliance and corrective actions are carried.
• Portfolio growth by conversion, recovery and gain.
• Actively promote safety awareness to prevent accidents.
• Ensure company’s Safety and Health procedures, work instructions, programmes and requirements are implemented in responsible areas / activities.
• Overall responsible for site Safety and Health issues at responsible area / activities.
• Organize inspections or patrols and take remedial action if necessary.
• Report, investigate injuries, damages and loss incurred.
• Promote action to prevent occurrence of accidents and initiate analysis to discover accident trends.
• Ensure all inspection / measuring / test equipment used including suppliers and sub-contractors are properly calibrated.
