Job summary

PT. Berca Schindler Lifts seeks a seasoned Area Operations Leader to drive the regional business, manage field teams, and achieve service, repair, and MOD targets. The role requires a technical background in mechanical/electrical/electronics or industrial engineering and at least ten years in the elevator/escalator sector.

You will lead a team, apply market knowledge and strategic thinking, and ensure safety and quality standards across responsible areas.

Qualifications

• University education in Technical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Ten years of elevator/escalator industry experience with leadership ability and technical background.
• Knowledge of escalator product/market and strong communication, IT and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out area business activities in line with company policies and procedures.
• Manage and lead the Area Operation and motivate staff and technicians.
• Grow area portfolio to achieve service, repair and MOD targets.
• Promote safety awareness and ensure SH procedures are implemented.
• Ensure all inspection/test equipment and suppliers are properly calibrated.

Job description

• Carry out area business activities in accordance with company policies, guidelines and procedures.
• To manage and lead the Area Operation.
• Motivate staff and technicians to build good team work.
• Manage Existing Installation area portfolio in order to achieve Service, Repair and MOD targets.
• Manage and handle area portfolio to propose and negotiate for Service contract, Repair Sales and MOD Sales and target.
• Perform inspection and ensure compliance and corrective actions are carried.
• Portfolio growth by conversion, recovery and gain.
• Actively promote safety awareness to prevent accidents.
• Ensure company’s Safety and Health procedures, work instructions, programmes and requirements are implemented in responsible areas / activities.
• Overall responsible for site Safety and Health issues at responsible area / activities.
• Organize inspections or patrols and take remedial action if necessary.
• Report, investigate injuries, damages and loss incurred.
• Promote action to prevent occurrence of accidents and initiate analysis to discover accident trends.
• Ensure all inspection / measuring / test equipment used including suppliers and sub-contractors are properly calibrated.
