Job summary

Johnson Controls Indonesia is seeking a Service Technician to perform basic preventative maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and servicing of HVAC systems, including water-cooled and air-cooled chillers. The role requires diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

The candidate should have 5+ years of commercial HVAC/Data Center experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC and Data Center experience.
• Understanding of advanced HVAC, refrigeration and heating principles.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers in a timely and professional manner.
• Install, test, commission, contract maintenance, troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose HVAC systems with electrical and mechanical defects.
• Adjust and repair systems; perform warranty service.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and instructions.
• Document results and submit service reports promptly.
• Maintain company image in all industries.
• Keep detailed inventory of HVAC equipment and resources.
• Ensure accurate, timely service reports and timesheets.
• Participate in training; mentor new technicians.

What you will do Performs basic preventative maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, general servicing activities and performing. Conducts routine communications with customers, address and meet customer’s needs, service team and subcontractors as needed to ensure customer satisfaction. Inspect clients current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety. Able to perform and deal with Water Cooled Chillers and Air Cooled Chillers, is a machine that removes heat from a liquid via a vapor-compression. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service

Service Technician Duties & Responsibilities (How you will do it):

• Travel to customers residency in a timely and professional manner.
• To perform installation, testing and commissioning, contract maintenance service, breakdown troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning equipment in accordance with Installation Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Service Manuals, Work Instructions, good trade practices.
• Diagnosing HVAC systems with electrical and mechanical defects.
• Adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety.
• To ensure above jobs are carried out in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with instruction given.
• Upon completion, proper testing shall be carried out and relevant results shall be documented and submitted accordingly.
• To project and upkeep Company image in the industries at all time.
• Maintain a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources
• To ensure accuracy and timely submission of all service reports and time sheets.
• Participate in all technical training, guide and train new technician in the on-job-training.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities
• Support proposals to support recommendations and solutions

Service Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
• min 5+ year commercial and Data Center HVAC experience.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
