Job summary

Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk is seeking an Assistant Head of Serology to support the Serology Section Head in managing HI and ELISA testing for poultry health surveillance and disease control.

You will supervise technicians, ensure quality control and biosafety, maintain laboratory equipment, assist in method development, analyze data, and help implement ISO/IEC 17025-2017 within the serology section.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine with exposure to serology testing.
• Proven experience with ELISA, HI, AGPT and related assays.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or similar quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Serology Section Head in planning, organizing, and directing daily lab activities.
• Supervise and train junior technicians on serological testing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols, quality control, and biosafety guidelines.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of equipment; troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in development and validation of new serological methods.
• Analyze serological data, prepare reports, and communicate findings.
• Manage inventory of reagents and supplies.
• Contribute to implementing ISO/IEC 17025-2017 within serology.
• Assist in R&D initiatives related to animal health diagnostics.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and data management.
• Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to improve lab operations.
