Job summary

Tate & Lyle is seeking a Technical Sales Manager in Indonesia to support the sales team with expert food applications knowledge. You will develop formulations, run trials, and drive projects with local sales and APAC teams, while maintaining lab standards and safety compliance.

You will lead in creating recipes, analyzing data, and delivering results under tight timelines. Fluency in English and willingness to travel regionally are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food science required.
• 8–10 years of experience in food applications across categories.
• Trained in handling food analytical instruments.
• Trained in handling process equipment (cookers, colloid mills, homogenizer, fryers).
• Knowledge of food specialty ingredients (sweeteners, fiber, modified starches, hydrocolloids).
• Proven CRM experience and strong knowledge of the Food Ingredients industry in the territory.
• Ability to meet demanding timelines and deliver results under pressure.
• Proficient at creating food formulations and recipes.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Develop formulations using Tate & Lyle ingredient solutions for customer applications and make recommendations to customers and channel partners.
• Conduct pilot or commercial trials to test recommendations.
• Drive PUSH and support PULL projects through customer discussions and trials.
• Collaborate with APAC TS, Commercial, Marketing, and BD to align business goals using SFDC to lead projects with local sales and document progress.
• Execute projects scientifically and document results using PLM.
• Write clear laboratory reports for submission and recording to ensure continuity of technical successes.
• Assist in designing and maintaining the TS laboratory and sourcing equipment.
• Lead in setting up SOPs for instruments and equipment per APAC best practices.
• Maintain and improve EHS standards and participate in training and audits.
