Qualifications

• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V).
• Strong understanding of network architecture, DNS, DHCP, and security principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise systems infrastructure and networks.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to join our team in Jakarta on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our critical IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and availability. As a Senior System Administrator, you will play a strategic role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network and systems architecture, whilst providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. This position is essential to supporting our organisation's operational objectives and ensuring business continuity across all our systems and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level systems infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network architecture
• Monitor system performance, capacity planning, and resource optimisation to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency
• Implement and manage security protocols, access controls, and disaster recovery procedures to protect critical organisational data
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, patches, and upgrades whilst minimising disruption to business operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely resolutions to system outages and performance degradation
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across multiple systems and platforms
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including procedures, configurations, and disaster recovery plans
• Lead, mentor, and support junior system administrators and IT staff, fostering their professional development
• Collaborate with other IT departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of systems and services
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and security threats relevant to systems administration

What we're looking for

• 4-5+ years of professional experience in systems administration, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in virtualisation technologies such as VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, or equivalent platforms
• Strong understanding of network architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, including implementation and testing
• Demonstrated expertise in system security, including firewall configuration, antivirus deployment, and compliance management
• Proficiency with monitoring and management tools for infrastructure oversight and performance tracking
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Systems Administrator (MCSA), or equivalent credentials are highly desirable
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform would be advantageous
