Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Central Banking & Devt Platforms (CBD) payment team, ensuring quality and reliability of the MEPS+ system. You will focus on code review, security assessment, test automation maintenance, and release verification.

You will also contribute to contingency planning, audits, on-call incident response, and collaboration with vendors, operations, and security teams to uphold performance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and implementing Java applications.
• Strong Java, SQL, and shell scripting skills.
• Ability to conduct code reviews against design specs and security standards.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Watermelon, or similar).
• Familiarity with code scanning tools and vulnerability assessment.

Responsibilities

• Code Review Gate: review internal/vendor fixes against approved designs and standards.
• Lead weekly review of security findings and validate remediations.
• Verify MEPS+ releases prior to production deployment.
• Define system SLIs/SLOs with ops and SRE for performance and availability.
