Job summary

Sea Labs Indonesia is seeking a QA Engineer to design, test and safeguard the availability, performance and usability of payment products and APIs across markets. You’ll collaborate with developers, PMs, designers and operations to ensure high-quality releases.

You will build automated tests for APIs and backend services, validate complex payment flows, and contribute to CI/CD quality gates while expanding expertise in QA and AI-enabled tooling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of QA/testing experience in software development.
• Experience testing backend services, APIs & distributed systems.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman/Swagger/REST Assured.
• Proficient in UI and mobile automation (Playwright/Cypress/WebdriverIO).
• SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of Agile development and QA lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for payment/financial products, APIs, integrations, and workflows.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and production validation testing.
• Test scenarios: payment success/failure, retries, timeouts, duplicates, reversals, refunds, reconciliation.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for APIs and backend services.
• Identify, investigate, and track defects; drive resolution with engineers.
• Participate in release quality assessment, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis.
• Improve test coverage, QA processes, automation frameworks, and CI/CD gates.
• Collaborate with local/regional teams to deliver reliable payment services across markets.
