Job summary

Grab is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Consumer Experience (CX) Engineering team in Jakarta.

You will build high-quality systems powering end-to-end consumer journeys in the Grab app, promote AI-driven workflows, and maintain secure, scalable backend and frontend services.

This on-site role offers opportunities to raise engineering standards, mentor teammates, and contribute to Grab's mission to connect consumers with Grab's marketplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, system design.
• Audit AI-generated code for security, correctness, maintainability.
• Proven track record leading AI-driven technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and optimize scalable full-stack services and Go backend systems.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to build secure, high-quality code and lead plans that boost team efficiency.
• Design scalable architectures, manage system performance and capacity, and resolve complex distributed system issues.
• Take end-to-end ownership of product outcomes, drive cross-functional alignment, and manage production incidents during on-call rotations.
• Elevate engineering standards through design/code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
