Job summary

PT Fundo Sukses Bersama is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production backend systems and scalable services. You will own high-impact systems, reason about architectures, and leverage modern AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while upholding strict quality and performance standards.

The role requires deep CS fundamentals, API and database expertise, cloud experience (GCP/AWS), and the ability to communicate complex decisions clearly.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain production backend systems and scalable services. In this role, you will take ownership of high-impact systems, reason about complex architectures, and leverage modern AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development while upholding strict standards of software quality, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering, with experience building, maintaining, and improving production software systems.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, modular design, API development, databases, testing, and maintainability.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to investigate issues systematically and identify root causes across applications, APIs, databases, and services.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to evaluate technical decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, and potential edge cases.
• Ability to design and reason about system architecture, including scalability, reliability, performance, data consistency, service boundaries, and failure handling.
• Comfortable working with unfamiliar codebases, technologies, and technical problems.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
• Experience using modern AI-assisted or agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Able to use AI-assisted development tools effectively for code exploration, implementation, debugging, testing, refactoring, and documentation while maintaining engineering judgment and ownership of the resulting code.
• Familiarity with relational databases, APIs, Git-based workflows, automated testing, and
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or equivalent platforms.
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical decisions, collaborate with other engineers, and provide constructive technical feedback.
