Job summary

EVDEkimi Real Estates is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure backend systems, APIs, and microservices, with a focus on AI-powered features and automation.

You will work across the full software lifecycle, collaborate with AI engineers and product teams, and lead architectural decisions to ensure performance, reliability, and secure integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience building production systems involving AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, AI Agents, or Generative AI.
• Experience integrating platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM/AI APIs.
• Familiarity with RAG architecture, vector databases, embeddings, prompt orchestration, and AI agent workflows.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, asynchronous processing, authentication, and system integrations.

This role involves building and integrating AI-powered features, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and external AI APIs, while developing backend architecture supporting AI-driven applications and automation workflows.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems, APIs, and microservices.

Build and integrate AI-powered features, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and external AI APIs.

Develop backend architecture supporting AI-driven applications and automation workflows.

Work across the full software development lifecycle, from system architecture and database design to deployment and production monitoring.

Collaborate on full-stack development when required, including integration between backend services and modern frontend applications.

Design and optimize RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and third-party integrations.

Manage relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, data integrity, and security.

Implement cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, logging, monitoring, and production deployment.

Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong specialization in backend development.

Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Python, Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Java, or similar technologies.

Hands-on experience building production systems involving AI, Machine Learning, LLMs, AI Agents, or Generative AI.

Experience integrating platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or other LLM/AI APIs.

Familiarity with RAG architecture, vector databases, embeddings, prompt orchestration, and AI agent workflows is highly preferred.

Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, asynchronous processing, authentication, and system integrations.

Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, database architecture, and performance optimization.

Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Docker, CI/CD, Git, and production deployment environments.

Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, security, scalability, and clean coding practices.

Proven ability to independently solve complex technical problems and make senior-level architectural decisions.

Strong communication skills in English and ability to work effectively with international and cross-functional teams.
