Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer Industrial MRO in Palembang to drive area sales strategy, coordinating with the Sales Manager, distributors and end customers. You will deliver engineering-based sales support and ensure service quality across the Palembang region.

Engage in training and product promotions, build strong customer relationships, and provide timely technical and after-sales support. Fluency in English and a proactive, organized mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering; minimum 8 years in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience and network in heavy industries (pulp & paper, cement, power, mining).
• Knowledge of rotary and linear bearings; basic understanding of electrical direct drives.
• Self-motivated with sales interest; project management and customer focus.
• Outgoing, organized, structured, presentable and professional.
• Computer literacy and strong English communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement area strategy with Sales Manager for Central Indonesia to boost sales and support distributors and end customers.
• Deliver value with an engineering-based sales approach, considering TCO.
• Provide up-to-date technical and service support to distributors and customers in Palembang areas.
• Implement sales objectives and strategies to support growth in assigned areas.
• Support and develop partners to build relationships with major end customers and ensure service levels.
• Visit sites to observe technical details and secure suitable bearing supply.
• Report market and competitor information to managers.
• Identify, coordinate and execute training and product promotion for distributors and end users.
• Provide responses to quality complaints and after-sales service.

Your Key Responsibilities

• In coordination with Sales Manager for Central Indonesia, develop and implement an area strategy with the aim of increasing overall Schaeffler products sales & services (in conjunction with the distributors & end customers) and provide up to date technical / engineering and service support to distributors and customers in the Palembang areas
• Deliver added value to the customer with an engineering-based sales approach including consideration of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
• Provide up to date technical / engineering and service support to distributors and customers in that designated areas
• Implement sales objectives and strategies for customers within the assigned areas to support our sales growth
• Support & develop our partners in the assigned areas to establish relationship with major end customers and to deliver the required service level to end customers
• Observe technical details by visiting application site frequently in order to secure suitable bearing supply
• Report timely marketing information and competitors’ information to managers
• Identify, co-ordinate and implement training and product promotion to distributors and end users within the areas of responsibilities
• Provide response and solutions to any quality complaint, after-sales service to customers

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, min. 8 years experiences (In Engineering/ Manufacturing Industry)
• Experiences & knowledge in heavy industries (Pulp & Paper, Cement, Power Plant, Mining, Metallurgical Processing, etc.) process and having good network within the assigned areas
• Knowledge on rotary and linear bearings, and basic knowledge in electrical direct drives
• Self motivated with strong interest in sales, project management, customer-oriented mindset with proven sales record
• Outgoing, Organized, Structured, Presentable, Professional
• Computer literacy and good communication in English is a must
