Job summary

Matahari in Indonesia seeks a Senior QA (Garment & Footwear Technician) to develop supplier capability and assure product quality through development and production stages.

The role requires deep garment construction knowledge, QMS, and successful inline/final inspections, with strong English communication and leadership to guide QCs and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma degree from reputable university.
• Has minimum 7 years experience as QC Inspector garment.
• Skillful in product fitting and pattern construction.
• Well understand Quality Management System (QMS), "How to check" and "How to measure" the product.
• Has a good knowledge about size spec standardization.
• Understand the production/factory process & compliance.
• Good communication in English for both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Develop supplier capability and capacity accordance to product type.
• Provide technical expertise to QA Technical during product development process.
• Involve Pre Production Meeting with supplier.
• Manage bulk Sample Reference, checking and approval proses.
• Handle inline & final inspection for supplier/factory.
• Manage full compliance and in-production processes with ability to recommend, rectify issues and problem solve.
• Create and set new garment construction standards, tech and safety compliances.
• Lead and create training for supplier QCs to improve their knowledge and skill.
• Supervising team member to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, motivating and maintaining a harmonize working environment, develop staff competency and capability, review and monitor employee performance.
• Manage Sample Quality performance tracking report.
• Coordinate with 3rd party vendor for Final Inspection request.
• Conduct Store Quality audit quarterly.

Job description

Work closely with Designers, Product Development and Supplier to ensure that garments are being designed with the consumer and the manufacturing process in mind.

Provide technical expertise during product development process such as specs, pattern, construction methods and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall quality.

Manage Sample development, checking and approval proses.

Identify problem items early in the spec development phase so that corrective action can be taken prior to factory issue.

Create and set new garment construction standards, tech and safety compliances.

Partners with vendors in the resolution of problems as necessary.

Lead and create training for supplier QCs to improve their knowledge and skill.

Manage Sample Quality performance tracking report.

Involve Pre-Production Meeting with Product Development and Supplier.

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma degree in Textile/ Garment, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field.

Has minimum 7-year experiences as Garment Technical/ Technical Designer.

Skilful in product fitting and pattern construction, know how to simplify processes and solve the problem.

Well understand Quality Management System (QMS), "How to check" and "How to measure" the product.

Has a good knowledge about size spec standardization and grading.

Understand the production/factory process & compliance.

Good communication in English for both verbal and written.

Well-organized and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Able to work and communicate with team/ cross team/ external parties.
