Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead quality management across the project lifecycle and ensure compliance with customer and Hitachi Energy standards. You will drive a quality culture, oversee audits, and manage KPIs while acting as the main customer liaison for quality matters.

The role requires 5+ years in a project-based engineering environment, strong ISO 9001 knowledge, and hands-on experience with QMS, RCA/8D, and ITPs. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an engineering, procurement and construction environment; large orgs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; lead auditor certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; engineering/science master's preferred.
• Experience with QMS, risk management, and project lifecycle.
• Familiar with QA/QC methodologies and customer feedback processes.
• Reading technical drawings; excellent English skills; Salesforce/MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management System (QMS) and project quality documentation.
• Participate in project kick-off, stage gate, and close-out reviews to ensure quality requirements and lessons learned are captured.
• Serve as the primary customer interface for project quality matters and ensure contractual compliance.
• Promote a strong quality culture across project teams through QA/QC and continuous improvement.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project quality audits per customer and Hitachi Energy requirements.
• Manage and report KPIs (NCRs, CCRPs, COPQ, customer satisfaction, lessons learned).
• Oversee non-conformance management and timely NCR resolution.
• Coordinate site quality activities including training, document validation, and ITP implementation.
• Verify quality compliance during construction, installation, commissioning, and handover of projects.
