Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Metallurgist to lead the establishment of a Greenfield metallurgical laboratory in Indonesia and to manage testwork programs from bench-scale to pilot plant stages.

The successful candidate will develop flowsheets, analyze results, and deliver technical reports to clients, while mentoring junior staff and ensuring HSE and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgy or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of metallurgical experience.
• Strong background in laboratory testwork and process development.
• Expertise with precious and base metals (Gold, Copper, Silver, Nickel).
• Proven experience developing process flowsheets and supporting commercialization.
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong client-facing, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Metallurgist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Experience with greenfield projects, mine expansions, and process optimization programs will be highly regarded.
• Experience within TIC organizations, consulting firms, laboratories, or mining operators is highly desirable
