Job Description
As a Senior Metallurgist, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead the setup and development of the metallurgical laboratory in Indonesia.
- Design, manage, and execute metallurgical testwork programs from bench-scale through pilot plant activities.
- Develop process flowsheets and provide technical solutions for mining and mineral processing projects.
- Analyze metallurgical test results and provide recommendations to clients.
- Prepare technical reports, metallurgical balances, and project documentation.
- Manage client relationships and support business development activities.
- Mentor and supervise metallurgists and laboratory technicians.
- Ensure compliance with all HSE, quality, and operational standards
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Metallurgist should have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Minerals Processing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of Metallurgical experience.
- Strong background in metallurgical laboratory testwork and process development.
- Expertise in precious and base metals, particularly Gold, Copper, Silver, and Nickel.
- Proven experience developing metallurgical process flowsheets and supporting projects through commercialization.
- Experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong client-facing, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience with greenfield projects, mine expansions, and process optimization programs will be highly regarded.
- Experience within TIC organizations, consulting firms, laboratories, or mining operators is highly desirable
