Job summary

Monroe Consulting Group partners with a major consumer retailer in Indonesia to recruit a Senior Manager Merchandising & Product Sourcing. The role focuses on leading strategic product sourcing, development, and assortment expansion to suit the Indonesian market.

You will drive supplier partnerships, manage end-to-end product development, and collaborate with international teams to ensure competitive, profitable product categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or Marketing is required.
• Experience in product sourcing, product development, merchandising, or category management is essential.
• Proven track record with supplier/vendor management and international sourcing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic product sourcing and development initiatives for the Indonesian market.
• Identify assortment gaps and opportunities aligned with consumer trends and business goals.
• Manage end-to-end product development from ideation to supplier engagement and commercialisation.
• Collaborate with international sourcing teams and Chinese suppliers to develop relevant products for Indonesia.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and influence cross-functional stakeholders to execute category strategy.
• Present recommendations to senior management and drive commercial performance.
