Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a Technical Supervisor (Mechanical) for data center operations and facilities management. You will lead on-site mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and workforce development for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings, ensuring high reliability and safety.

You will act as a senior technical expert across service lines, mentor engineers, and support business development with practical engineering solutions while upholding CBRE

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or relevant engineering subject.
• Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer experience in Electrical, Mechanical and Confined Spaces.
• Experience with building service engineering systems.
• Customer facing across varied client base.
• Proven track record of technical problem solving.
• Ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical customers.
• Ability to produce technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal client facing technical expert across all service lines.
• Provide onsite teams with mechanical engineering support as required.
• Support Business Development with technical solutions to meet varying customer requirements.
• Promote innovations in new technology and service solutions.
• Act as Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for the division.
• Provide occasional out-of-hours (OOH) support for account teams.
• Produce standardised documentation and processes for site teams.
• Support business development managers with new opportunities.
• Provide investigation and root cause analysis across the division and share learnings.
• Liaise with the QHSE team.
• Promote customer experience and wellbeing through good operation of building service systems.
• Provide technical support to the division project team.
• Support account teams in producing maintenance strategies and reliability.
• Be the SME for technical excellence and drive standardisation of best practices.
• Act as a Senior Authorised Person/Authorising Engineer for Electrical/Pressure/Confined Spaces.
• Support site teams with technical operations across building service engineering disciplines.
• Champion technical solutions & innovations.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices.
