Job summary

DayOne is a global leader in high-performance data centers, with a presence across Asia and Europe. We are expanding into new markets and seek a Mechanical System Manager to oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in our data centres.

You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensure 24/7 coverage, coordinate with vendors, and drive safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives to support rapid deployment and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors).
• Experience leading technical teams and 24/7 operations; PE certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of data centre mechanical systems.
• Ensure HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, and fire suppression function reliably.
• Lead and mentor assistant facilities engineers and technicians.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Support safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
