Job summary

PaxOcean Group in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an Executive of Business Development to drive revenue by expanding existing customer accounts and securing repeat projects in ship repair, dry docking, maintenance, and vessel conversion. You will identify opportunities, understand future requirements, and coordinate with internal teams to convert opportunities into orders.

You will develop strong relationships with ship owners and managers, monitor market trends, and maintain a robust sales pipeline

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in business development, account management, sales, or commercial roles, preferably in shipyard or marine industry.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Commercially driven, proactive and results-oriented with analytical and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, including ship owners and managers.
• Identify opportunities to increase repeat docking orders and shipyard services.
• Proactively engage customers to understand vessel docking schedules and fleet requirements.
• Develop account development plans to increase retention and revenue share.
• Coordinate with Commercial, Estimating, Project Management, Production and Operations teams to identify opportunities.
• Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and approvals to improve conversion rates.
• Conduct regular customer visits, meetings and post-project follow-ups.
• Monitor customer account performance, competitor activities, and market developments.
• Maintain an updated pipeline of projects, accounts, and revenue forecasts.
• Prepare regular reports on activity and progress against targets.
