Job summary

Tecan CDMO Solutions PN Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for an on-site role in Sungai Jawi. You will lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities include analyzing workflows, improving parameters, solving shop-floor issues, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams to deliver robust, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
• Proven experience in a senior or lead engineering role within a high-precision manufacturing or OEM environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools, production planning concepts, and statistical process control is beneficial.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Familiarity with quality systems, regulatory requirements, and workplace safety standards relevant to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

Role Description The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sungai Jawi. This role is responsible for leading the development, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost efficiency, and production scalability. Day-to-day activities include analyzing production workflows, defining and improving process parameters, troubleshooting technical issues on the shop floor, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams in engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to introduce new products, implement design-for-manufacturability recommendations, and support equipment selection and validation. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, training production personnel on new processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety requirements.
