Job summary

PT BYD AUTO INDONESIA in West Java is seeking a process optimization and tooling engineer to improve manufacturing workflows, enforce SOPs, and design jigs, fixtures, and production tooling in Subang. You will lead trial and quality control plans, drive continuous improvement (Kaizen), train local technicians and operators, and uphold EHS compliance under Indonesian regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or mechatronics engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Advanced English and Upper-Intermediate Chinese proficiency

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing workflows and enforce SOPs.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Verify new materials and processes; lead trial assembly plans.

Process Optimization & Tooling: Manage manufacturing workflows, enforce SOPs, and design jigs, fixtures, and production tooling.

Trial & Quality Control: Verify new materials/processes, lead trial assembly plans, and drive closed-loop quality problem resolution.

Continuous Improvement & Training: Lead Kaizen initiatives, boost line efficiency, and train local technicians and operators.

EHS & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce Indonesian safety regulations to achieve "Zero Accident" targets, manage environmental waste, and uphold info security.

Requirements

Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical fields

Languages: Advanced English and Upper-Intermediate Chinese
