Job summary

PT. ADIDAS INDONESIA is seeking a senior accounting leader to direct day-to-day accounting operations and drive process improvements across multiple entities.

You will oversee accounts payable, receivable, treasury, and general ledger activities while ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards. The role requires strong English proficiency, extensive finance experience, and the ability to collaborate with tax consultants, auditors, and cross-functional teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Senior accountant with government accounting background and process improvement.
• Experience in multi-entity setups and consolidation beneficial.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with SAP and Power BI is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of local regulatory tax and accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting function with a clear leadership role and set performance targets for the team.
• Oversee end-to-end operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and GL.
• Devise and execute tax planning controls and ensure local compliance with tax laws.
• Monitor cash flow forecasts to meet operational needs.
• Drive continuous improvement to deliver accurate, relevant financial solutions.
• Strengthen finance cross-functional relationships with other business areas.
• Identify process improvements to drive efficiency in the Accounting function.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and regulators to uphold transparency.

Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

In the dynamic business environment, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining sustainable, accurate and efficient Accounting processes for the legal entity/entities directing all Accounting activities and functions to ensure the integrity of the financial records.

This includes, but is not limited to, project Accounting lead, Accounting process creation and review, internal and external audit liaison for Accounting topics, oversight of financial records, month-end closing, financial statement preparation in compliance with international and local accounting standards and statutory requirements, and liaison between Finance and the Global Business Services (GBS) function.

Through engaging with our GBS (Global Business Services) team, the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounting function by taking a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the team, defining performance targets for the team members, and monitoring team member performance and development.
• Oversees and manage E2E operations of theAccounting team, including the design ofthe teamstructureto cover accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and general ledger activities.
• Devise and execute control measures in tax planning and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations working closely with tax consultants.
• Monitor and manage cash flow forecasts to meet operational needs.
• Constantly challenging the norm and ensuring development and delivery of accurate and relevant financial solutions.
• Facilitate and strengthen business relationships between finance and other business areas.
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting function.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory landscape and serve as a principal liaison with ability to navigate effective interactions and communications with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to uphold the company’s commitment to transparency and accountability

• Excellent knowledge in finance and accounting.
• Ability to coach, manage, align, motivate, and develop direct reports.
• Ability to interact, effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders, senior management, cross functional business leaders, peers, vendors, and customers.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

• Experienced senior level accountant with strong background in governmental accounting theory, financial analysis, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems with process improvement
• Experience on entity set up and managing multiple entities within Group is big plus
• 10+ years of broad-based operational finance experience and progressive responsibility in industry leading companies
• Fluency in written & spoken English.
• Familiarity with SAP,Power BIand other relevant adidas and industry Finance systems/analytical software a big plus
