Job summary

Beyondsoft Singapore is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and execute automated and manual tests for DNA sequencing and genotyping software. You will work within Agile Scrum teams to ensure high quality across functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.

The role requires at least 5 years of hands-on testing experience, strong automation skills and familiarity with CI/CD tools and test management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or related field.
• 5+ years of software testing experience with strong manual and automated testing.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and automation tools.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux GUI applications.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies and QA best practices.
• Experience in complex system testing such as medical devices or instrumentation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.
• Develop, review, and execute test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure product quality and requirements compliance.
• Investigate, reproduce, and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Set up and maintain test environments and test data for effective validation.
• Report, track, and manage defects using issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.
