Job summary

Beyondsoft Singapore seeks an experienced Software Quality Assurance professional to design, execute, and validate manual test cases for instrument control software and device-related applications in an Agile environment. • Hands-on experience in designing and executing manual test cases for web, desktop, or enterprise applications.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Experience testing Windows and/or Linux-based GUI applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in Agile Scrum teams.

Job description

Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate manual test cases for instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.

• Develop, review, and execute manual test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, user acceptance (UAT), and performance validation.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
• Perform thorough manual testing of software applications and identify defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
• Investigate, reproduce, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
• Set up and maintain test environments and test data for effective validation.
• Report, track, and manage defects using issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in manual testing.
• Hands‑on experience in designing and executing manual test cases for web, desktop, or enterprise applications.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Experience testing Windows and/or Linux‑based GUI applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance (UAT), and exploratory testing.
• Experience in complex system testing, such as medical devices, instrumentation software, or other regulated industries, is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and quality assurance best practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in Agile Scrum teams.
