Job summary

Beyondsoft seeks an experienced QA Engineer to design, execute, and validate instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for sequencing devices. You will develop automation test scripts and frameworks to improve coverage across regression and critical workflows.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing with manual and automation expertise, and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and test management systems.

Qualifications

Job description

• Work within Agile Scrum teams to design, execute, and validate instrument control software, service software, and module-based applications for DNA sequencing and genotyping devices.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency across regression and critical workflows.
• Develop, review, and execute test cases covering functional, integration, regression, system, and performance testing.
• Define and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure product quality and compliance with requirements.
• Investigate, reproduce, and work with developers to resolve defects.
• Set up and maintain test environments and test data for effective validation.
• Report, track, and manage defects using issue management tools, ensuring clear communication of risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing.
• Must have hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Hands on experience with test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.
• Experience with Windows and/or Linux based GUI applications.
• Strong understanding of test methodologies including functional, regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
• Experience in complex system testing such as medical devices or instrumentation software is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and quality assurance best practices.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in Agile teams.
