Job summary

GoTo Group in Jakarta is seeking a senior Data Scientist to own end-to-end credit risk modeling for GoPay lending products. You will build, evaluate, and monitor models using GoTo data and third-party data, driving improvements in risk decisions and financial inclusion across Indonesia.

Lead a small DS team, mentor colleagues, collaborate with product and business teams to prototype and deploy scalable models, document methodologies, and present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in statistics, mathematics, physics, computer science or related fields.
• 6–7 years hands-on experience building, evaluating, and monitoring risk models.
• Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and UNIX Shell.
• Ability to translate business concerns into technical problems and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end modeling initiatives and business outcomes/metrics.
• Collaborate with business/product teams to prototype and implement DS models.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing DS team.
• Oversee development of consumer credit risk models and analyses to optimize decisions.
