Job summary

Austin Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager for large-scale engineering projects based in Batam, Indonesia. The role requires driving projects from initiation through close-out, coordinating with engineering, fabrication, and operations teams to meet milestones and budgets.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of project management experience in heavy fabrication or industrial settings, strong communication skills, and proficiency with project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant project management experience, preferably within engineering, heavy equipment, manufacturing, fabrication, mining, construction, or industrial environments.
• Proven experience managing complex projects involving multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and resource coordination.
• Experience working with engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring activities align with the approved plan.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and priorities; monitor progress against baseline schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Fabrication, Quality, HSE, Logistics, Finance, and subcontractors to align activities.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and resource utilization; identify variances and manage within approved budgets.
• Ensure availability and effective utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors per project needs.
• Lead regular project meetings, report progress, risks, and issues to management and stakeholders.
