Job summary

Flex, a diversified manufacturing partner, is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer based in Batam to drive production efficiency, process simulation, and lean initiatives. The role supports SpinCo, the planned spin-off of Flex's Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment, targeting end-to-end digital infrastructure for AI data centers.

You will lead line layout, capacity analysis, and cost-saving projects while coordinating with management and engineering to implement improvements and meet customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an industrial or process engineer in manufacturing.
• Experience in new plant buildup or plant relocation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for floor layout design and optimization.
• IE 7 tools training and ability to identify 8 kinds of waste in the production line.
• Experience with capacity analysis, time studies, labor costs and reduction.
• Experience with continuous improvement (Kaizen, SGA/IKW, lean events).
• Good English in oral communication with internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Measure and maintain product cycle time to improve production efficiency.
• Provide process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulate processes and layouts to input to process engineer.
• Lead production line layout and setup for new projects with lean concepts.
• Coordinate process planning to meet takt and labor needs.
• Analyze staff utilization, layout, costs, and schedules to optimize resources.
• Plan equipment and manpower to meet customer requirements.
• Manage capex and drive cost-saving and waste reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with management and engineering to implement plans.
