Job summary

Johnson Controls in Jakarta seeks a Sales Engineer, HVAC, to drive sales of our building solutions to new and existing customers. You will understand customer needs, develop tailored proposals, and present solutions to stakeholders, working with the sales team to convert leads into opportunities.

You will plan tenders, lead negotiations, and ensure timely payments while reporting on revenue attainment and market activity.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of senior HVAC sales experience (chiller, pump, cooling tower).
• Experience selling to contractors, consultants, or owners and handling projects.
• Knowledge of Building HVAC, Fire Protection, Controls preferred.
• SAP knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Study product knowledge and procedures; continuously improve domain knowledge.
• Plan annual secured order strategy; achieve YOY growth in the region.
• Prepare tenders and proposals; lead negotiations; close orders to target.
• Responsible for payment collection.
• Provide monthly reporting on secured revenue and related metrics.
• Develop relationships to maintain long-term service relationships.
• Develop sales leads and identify customer requirements.
• Monitor competitors’ activities and report trends.
• Independently follow up projects to provide solutions.
