Job summary

Haskoning Indonesia is seeking a skilled HVAC Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of HVAC systems across projects. You will work closely within the engineering design team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered per technical requirements, standards, and regulations.

You will lead HVAC design activities, manage projects from concept to completion, provide technical guidance to teams, and ensure compliance with codes and energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical building services and HVAC design.
• Strong understanding of building services, HVAC design methodologies, and energy efficiency practices.
• Hands-on with BIM/Revit and CAD; familiarity with HVAC software like HAP/IES.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design and development including load calculations, equipment sizing, and layouts.
• Manage projects from concept to completion within schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled HVAC Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of HVAC systems across various projects. In this role, you will work closely within the engineering design team and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with technical requirements, company standards, and applicable regulations.

The position involves performing HVAC load calculations, supporting equipment selection, and contributing to system design activities. You will be responsible for preparing and assisting in the completion of engineering deliverables such as drawings, models, schedules, and technical specifications.

As part of the engineering team, you will contribute to the execution of mono- or multi-disciplinary engineering activities, support project teams during design phases.

Where you will work

This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia, within the Industry & Buildings Department of PT Haskoning Indonesia. The role primarily works from the Jakarta office, with collaboration across local and international project teams and occasional meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution (Master’s Degree is an advantage).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical building services, with strong exposure to HVAC system design and implementation.
• Extensive understanding of mechanical engineering principles, building services systems, and HVAC design methodologies, including load calculations, equipment sizing, ventilation design, and energy efficiency practices.
• Proven hands‑on experience with engineering design tools such as BIM (e.g., Revit) and CAD software. Familiarity with HVAC calculation software (e.g., HAP, IES, or similar) is highly desirable.2
• Ability to lead and manage HVAC design activities, ensuring compliance with local and international codes, standards, and best practices.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.
