Job summary

PaxOcean Batam is seeking an Inspector / Senior Inspector, Hull (Painting) to inspect hull blasting, coating, and painting activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, SSPC/ASTM, and client requirements. You will verify materials and workmanship, and coordinate with production teams, subcontractors, and inspectors to maintain quality on site.

The role demands strong Hull Treatment QC experience, ability to plan and document inspections, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in shipbuilding or ship repair.
• Hull treatment QC experience as Hull Painting/Coating Inspector.
• Knowledge of SSPC, ASTM, ITP standards.
• English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hull blasting, coating, and painting per standards.
• Witness ITP tests and document results.
• Coordinate QC activities across vessels and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and PTW systems.
