Job summary

PaxOcean in Batam, Indonesia is seeking an Inspector, Hull & Outfitting to ensure hull and outfitting works meet project specifications, international standards and class requirements. You will perform in-process and final inspections, coordinate with shipowners, classification societies and internal teams, report non-conformities and support final surveys.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline.
2–3 years inspection experience in shipbuilding/ship repair.
Familiar with ABS Welding Inspector requirements or equivalent.
Good command of English, written and spoken.
Strong planning, organization and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Carry out, coordinate and arrange inspections as required by department goals.
Ensure safety and quality requirements are met during inspections.
Manage daily departmental activities and records.
Perform in-process and final inspections on electrical, piping, steel and mechanical work.
Coordinate with classification societies and third-party inspectors to ensure standards.
