Job summary

PaxOcean in Batam is seeking a seasoned Inspector Scaffolding to oversee scaffolding activities for hull treatment and ship repair projects. The role ensures safety, efficiency, and adherence to project requirements, company procedures, and industry standards on 1–2 vessels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in shipyards, ship repair, marine, or offshore industries with hull treatment and scaffolding exposure.
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding standards and regulations for shipyards and marine environments.
• Ability to assess, estimate, and quantify scaffolding requirements for hulls, tanks, and structural areas.
• Experience planning, scheduling, and allocating resources for multiple vessels.
• Excellent coordination and supervision of subcontractors with a safety focus.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scaffolding activities for hull treatment and ship repair on 1–2 vessels.
• Coordinate with Project Managers onboard and Owners’ Representatives.
• Verify scaffold requirements and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specs.
• Supervise and control scaffolding subcontractors onboard.
• Ensure risk assessments and PTW comply with safety standards and project requirements.
• Monitor attendance and timekeeping for scaffolding personnel.
• Submit progress reports and related documentation as required.
