Job summary

Merkleinnovation in Jakarta is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Golang) for a 3–6 month project-based contract to join ASAP. You will design, scale, and maintain high-performance microservices and robust backend APIs for telco systems.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience with Golang, strong knowledge of RESTful and gRPC, and hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, and messaging systems like Kafka or Pulsar. On-site work in Kuningan, South Jakarta is expected.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal).
Hands-on production experience with Golang.
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging systems (Kafka or Pulsar).

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable microservices using Golang.
Develop and maintain RESTful and gRPC APIs for telecom systems.
Optimize code and queries for performance and high availability.
Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL and event brokers like Kafka/Pulsar.
Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps and Product teams to deliver from requirement to deployment.
Lead code reviews and drive architectural decisions.
Provide production support and rapid issue resolution.
