Job summary

PT. Suryacipta Swadaya is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations and ground modelling for industrial infrastructure projects in Indonesia.

You will plan and review boreholes, SPT/CPT data, and groundwater tests, ensuring data gaps are addressed and recommendations are technically sound. The role requires deep expertise in soil mechanics, bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and earthworks QA/QC, with PLAXIS and GeoStudio proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization.
• Master degree preferred.
• At least 10 years in geotechnical engineering with 5+ years in industrial estates or major earthworks/infrastructure.
• SPT/CPT interpretation; soil mechanics; bearing capacity and settlement; slope stability; earthworks QA/QC; PLAXIS 2D/3D, GeoStudio/SLOPE-W or equivalent.
• Familiarity with SNI geotechnical/foundation standards (including SNI 8460), Indonesian construction requirements and relevant ASTM/AASHTO methods.
• Independent technical judgment, practical site experience, and clear English reports; Bahasa Indonesia beneficial.
• Professional engineer registration or relevant geotechnical certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review investigation plans and establish ground models; identify data gaps.
• Review zoning, moisture/compaction, settlement predictions, embankment stability and borrow/stockpile management.
• Assess weak soils and recommend methods such as preloading, PVD, soil replacement, stabilization, piles.
• Check excavation and fill slopes, soil nails, retaining walls, gabions, pond embankments and drainage effects.
• Review bearing capacity, settlement, shallow foundations, piling and load-test plans for facilities.
• Review subgrade CBR, pavement formation, trench stability and pipe bedding.
