Job summary

Suryacipta in Subang, Indonesia, is seeking a senior geotechnical engineer to lead investigations for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will prepare and review borehole programs, assess soil conditions and develop ground models, with a focus on data gaps and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include evaluating bearing capacity, settlement, slope stability, and earthworks QA/QC, while coordinating with planners, engineers, and contractors to deliver reliable geotechnical solutions

Qualifications

• Minimum a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialization.
• At least 10 years in geotechnical engineering with industrial estates or major earthworks.
• Proficiency in SPT/CPT interpretation and soil mechanics.
• Knowledge of Indonesian standards (SNI) and ASTM/AASHTO methods is preferred.
• Excellent English reports; Bahasa Indonesia is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review investigation plans for boreholes, SPT, CPT/CPTu, groundwater monitoring and lab tests.
• Establish ground models and identify data gaps.
• Review cut/fill zoning, laterite suitability, moisture/compaction criteria, and settlement predictions.
• Assess weak or compressible soils and recommend preloading or stabilization methods.
• Check excavation and fill slopes, soil nails, retaining walls, and drainage effects.
• Review bearing capacity, settlement, shallow foundations, piling and load-test plans.
• Coordinate with planning, engineering, construction management, O&M, consultants and contractors; issue recommendations.
