Job summary

Pt. Blue Ocean Labs seeks a Senior Geochemical Analyst to join its on-site laboratory in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

You will operate ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS, XRF and fire assay, develop analytical methods, interpret results, and uphold QA/QC standards to deliver reliable data for mineral exploration and environmental projects. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in geochemical analysis, strong analytical thinking, and excellent reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Geochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on geochemical analysis experience.
• Expertise with ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS and XRF.
• Strong QA/QC procedures and data validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a laboratory team.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AAS, XRF and fire assay instruments.
• Develop and validate new analytical methods.
• Implement QA/QC protocols to ensure data accuracy.
• Interpret results and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Mentor junior analysts and technicians.
• Ensure laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients.
