Job summary

PT Daya Mineral Alam seeks an experienced Lab Supervisor to manage daily lab activities and deliver accurate, timely analytical results for mining operations. You will oversee sample prep, testing, equipment, QA/QC, and personnel, focusing on bauxite and mineral quality analysis.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or a related field and at least 3 years in mining or analytical labs, with a preference for candidates with supervisory experience and XRF/AAS/ICP proficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in a related technical discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in mining/mineral/analytical lab.
Experience supervising laboratory personnel preferred.
Experience in bauxite mining or mineral testing labs strongly preferred.
Familiarity with XRF, AAS, or ICP.
Understanding of QA/QC and data validation.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily laboratory operations, including sample receipt, preparation, testing, analysis, and reporting.
Ensure testing is conducted according to approved methods, SOPs, quality standards, and requirements.
Oversee sample preparation and testing for bauxite and other mining materials.
Review and validate laboratory results for accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures, including control samples and reference materials.
Monitor equipment, consumables, and costs while ensuring proper sample identification and documentation.
