Job summary

Bukalapak Gaming is seeking a Software Engineer II (Fraud) to design, build, and maintain anti-fraud systems that protect transactions across gaming platforms. You will contribute to risk engines, dashboards, and mitigation tools while partnering with Product, Data, and Risk Ops teams.

The role emphasizes scalable defenses, detection of promo abuse, account takeovers, and payment fraud, with a focus on robust backend services and secure engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with fraud/risk engineering background.
• Experience building real-time risk scoring engines and anti-fraud tooling.
• Strong backend or full-stack skills in API design and databases.
• Ability to own features from development through deployment and monitoring.
• Excellent collaboration with product, data and risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and scale backend services and real-time risk engines for anti-fraud use.
• Build internal risk dashboards and case workflows for operational teams.
• Investigate fraud vectors and vulnerabilities to deliver durable defenses.
• Monitor risk scoring accuracy, false positives, and transaction reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, IT Security, and Risk Ops on new threats.
• Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
• Use logs and metrics to diagnose issues and optimize system health.
