Job summary

GoTo Financial is seeking a Senior Risk Analyst for Payment Gateway to identify fraud risks, analyze data, and develop mitigation strategies that support growth. You will build risk metrics, validate rules, and work with product, engineering, and compliance teams to balance risk and revenue.

You’ll join a dynamic Merchant Payment Risk team focused on sustainable growth, rigorous analysis, and practical risk controls across the payment ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payment risk experience, esp. gateway, switcher, card and e-money risk.
• Able to identify problems, assess issues and propose solutions at strategic and tactical levels.
• Intermediate SQL and cloud data platforms (Google BigQuery or MaxCompute).
• Hands-on data processing and BI tools (Sheets/Excel, Quick BI, Looker, Metabase) for trend analysis.
• Strong understanding of risk solutions, fraud detection and product implementation.
• Experience developing risk policy with a risk-based approach.
• Experience collaborating with operations, software engineering, business, product, compliance and data teams.
• Ability to prioritise and track progress.

Responsibilities

• Key fraud analyst to the business teams for the payment gateway business line.
• Conduct deep dives, sampling and analysis on risk related issues.
• Build comprehensive risk metrics monitoring and closely monitor risk metrics and drivers.
• Assess, validate and optimize risk rules and requirements for risk/reward targets.
• Develop risk platform solutions balancing product needs with customer experience.
• Proactively builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders while staying objective.
