Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd in Indonesia seeks an R&D Formulation Specialist with a Diploma or Bachelor's in Food Technology or Chemical Engineering. You will develop new product formulations, improve existing ones, and conduct bench trials for powder-based and ready-to-consume products.

You will ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, BPOM and Halal standards, coordinate with suppliers, document formulations, support scale-up trials, and stay informed on market trends.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of GMP, HACCP, BPOM, Halal, ISO 22000 principles.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Experience in sensory testing recommended.

Responsibilities

• Develop new product formulations and improve existing ones for taste, texture, stability and cost efficiency.
• Conduct laboratory trials for powder-based and ready-to-consume products.
• Prepare samples for internal evaluation and organoleptic testing.
• Perform stability tests including pH, color, aroma, solubility, viscosity, and shelf-life.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding raw material samples and data.
• Create formulation documents, raw material specs, and standard procedures.
• Support scale-up trials and provide recommendations based on results.
• Ensure formulations comply with BPOM, Halal and food safety regulations.
• Research market trends and new ingredient innovations.
