Job summary

Pt Global Buana Mandiri is seeking a Product Development Scientist to join their R&D team in Depok and Bekasi, Indonesia. The role focuses on creating and improving consumer FMCG products, guiding formulations from ideation through testing and scale-up for production.

The ideal candidate has a strong scientific background, hands-on formulation expertise, and experience with sensory evaluation and analytical methods to support market-ready products in a dynamic Indonesian market.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, preferably within the FMCG sector (food, beverages, personal care, home care).
• Strong understanding of formulation science, product stability, and analytical techniques.
• Experience with scale-up processes and pilot plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new FMCG products from concept to commercialization, including formulation, prototyping, and testing.
• Conduct scientific research to identify new ingredients, technologies, and product concepts that align with market trends and consumer needs.
• Perform bench-scale formulation, stability testing, and sensory evaluation of developed products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, to ensure successful product launches.
• Optimize existing product formulations to improve performance, cost-effectiveness, or sustainability.
• Document research findings, experimental procedures, and technical reports meticulously.
