Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Senior Accountant to support one of our Data Center (Technology) clients in Batam. You will lead financial reporting, manage month-end and year-end close, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with finance and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in financial reporting or project-based industries, strong cost analysis, advanced Excel, and audit experience, with exposure to Indonesia/APAC projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in financial reporting and project control.
• Experience with Indonesia and/or APAC projects is preferred.
• Solid cost analysis and budgeting capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query) and reporting automation.
• Experience with audits (external or internal) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, compliance and internal controls.

In this role, you will lead financial reporting activities, manage month-end and year-end close processes, perform detailed financial analysis, strengthen internal controls, and support audit and compliance requirements. What will you do:

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare management reports, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
• Analyze financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and key business variances.
• Monitor project costs, perform cost analysis, and support budget adherence.
• Develop and automate reports using advanced Excel tools.
• Coordinate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance and strong financial controls.
• Partner with operational teams to support budgeting, cash flow reporting, and finance process improvements.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in financial reporting and project control, preferably within construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
• Experience supporting Indonesia and/or APAC projects.
• Strong project costing and financial analysis capabilities.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, and reporting automation.
• Experience using cost estimation software and financial reporting tools.
• Prior external or internal audit experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting, compliance, and financial controls.
