Working Location: Site Based - West Sumbawa
Some of your duties will include:
- Supports planning, engineering coordination, technical evaluation, and execution monitoring of capital projects related to mining operations, including processing plant expansion, infrastructure development, utilities, logistics facilities, and supporting operational assets.
- Ensures engineering activities align with project scope, schedule, budget, technical standards, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure technical clarity
- Assist in constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives
- Prepare method statements, technical submittals, and work procedures
- Support development of project plans, schedules, and WBS
2. Construction Coordination
- Support resolution of technical issues and design conflicts
- Track progress and identify potential schedule risks
- Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings and standards
3. Cost & Project Controls
- Monitor quantities, material usage, and productivity
- Assist with variation orders, claims, and change requests
- Support cost tracking and progress reporting.
4. Quality & Compliance (QA/QC & HSE)
- Ensure works meet specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in inspections, testing, and quality control processes
- Support implementation of HSE standards and safety initiatives.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Interface with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Respond to RFIs and technical queries
- Participate in coordination and progress meetings.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Marine, Naval Architect, Structural, or related discipline)
- Minimum 3-7 years of experience in construction/project engineering, engineering design, or project development in mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, or EPC/EPCM environments
- Strong technical expertise in construction methods and engineering drawings, with working knowledge of project scheduling tools (Primavera P6/MS Project), familiarity with QA/QC, HSE, and regulatory standards, and experience in AutoCAD, BIM, or other engineering drafting software.
- Strong competencies in problem-solving and technical decision-making, with effective communication and teamwork, high attention to detail and quality, and a proactive, adaptable, and safety-focused mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates strong core competencies, including technical engineering analysis, project coordination, effective problem-solving and technical evaluation, collaborative stakeholder engagement, and solid planning and organizing abilities
- Demonstrates key behavioral competencies, including building trust, fostering collaboration, driving results, applying analytical thinking, and supporting continuous improvement
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
