Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to join their operations team based in Pekanbaru. You will plan, execute, and supervise drilling operations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in Indonesia's oil and gas sector.

Responsibilities include designing drilling programs, supervising field activities, and managing contracts. A minimum of five years in drilling engineering and strong well-control knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a Drilling Engineer.
• Solid understanding of drilling equipment, well control principles, and formation evaluation.
• Proficiency in drilling software and planning tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel to field locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design drilling programs including well trajectory and mud systems.
• Supervise on-site or remote drilling operations per safety regs and policies.
• Manage drilling contracts and suppliers, and monitor equipment performance.
• Analyze drilling data and troubleshoot to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Prepare post-drilling analyses and cost/performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
