Job summary

PT AWOT Global Logistics Indonesia, based in Batam Kota, Riau Islands, is seeking a dedicated Customs Brokerage professional to ensure smooth customs clearance for import and export shipments. The role demands handling documentation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients, shipping partners, and authorities.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Indonesian customs broker license, has 3+ years in the field, and demonstrates strong knowledge of HS codes, EDI systems, and global trade

Qualifications

• Valid Indonesian customs broker license or certification is required.
• Minimum 3 years in customs brokerage, import/export operations, or related compliance roles.
• Deep knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, HS codes, and international trade procedures.
• Proficiency with customs management software and EDI.
• Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication in Indonesian and English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs documentation for import/export shipments.
• Calculate and arrange payment of duties, taxes, and fees for clients.
• Liaise with customs officials to facilitate clearance and resolve compliance issues.
• Monitor shipments through the clearance process for timely release.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy before submission to authorities.
• Maintain detailed records of customs transactions and communications.
• Advise clients on tariff classifications and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, transport providers, and warehouses.
• Address queries from customs officials and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on changes to regulations, trade agreements, and procedures.
