Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Property Underwriting or Commercial Underwriting.
• Strong understanding of commercial property insurance principles and underwriting practices.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, pricing methodologies, and reinsurance concepts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite commercial property insurance submissions (offices, retail, hotels, manufacturing facilities).
• Analyze risk exposures based on location, construction, occupancy, values, loss history, and controls.
• Determine pricing, terms, conditions, deductibles, and policy limits.
• Review risk survey reports and recommend mitigation measures.
• Make underwriting decisions within delegated authority and provide guidance to brokers and clients.
