Job summary

Resindo Group is seeking a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to independently develop designs for mining and industrial facilities, from concept through detailed engineering. You will perform calculations, reviews, and prepare design documentation while leading engineers to deliver safe, economical solutions.

Responsibilities include coordinating design activities, ensuring compliance with standards, and providing technical input during FEED and detailed design phases.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil engineering designs including site development, bulk earthworks, plant grading, roads and haul roads, heavy-duty pavements, hardstands, stormwater drainage, water management systems, sediment ponds, retaining structures, underground services, and foundations and civil infrastructure
• Prepare supporting engineering calculations, reports and design documentation for all civil engineering works
• Develop structural engineering designs for crusher structures, conveyor galleries, transfer towers, pipe racks, workshops, process plant buildings, industrial steelwork, reinforced concrete structures, equipment support structures, tank support structures, equipment foundations, and dynamic machine foundations
• Undertake engineering calculations for static, dynamic, wind, seismic and operational loading where applicable
• Develop practical connection details suitable for fabrication and construction
• Develop and verify structural analysis models using recognised engineering software
• Undertake static analysis, dynamic analysis, structural stability assessments, member optimisation, foundation analysis, and structural connection verification
• Personally prepare, develop and review engineering documentation including Design Criteria, Design Basis Memoranda, Engineering Reports, Engineering Calculations, Technical Specifications, Scope of Work documents, Material Take-Offs, Bill of Quantities, Technical Queries, Vendor Technical Reviews, Construction Work Packs, Engineering Design Reviews, and Technical Study Reports
• Provide technical input throughout scoping studies, trade-off studies, prefeasibility studies, feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed design
• Provide technical support during procurement, vendor document reviews, tender evaluations, construction, site engineering, commissioning, and operational troubleshooting

Job description

This role involves independently developing civil and structural engineering designs for mining, minerals processing, industrial facilities, materials handling systems and associated infrastructure. You will undertake engineering development from concept design through to detailed engineering, develop engineering calculations, analyses and technical solutions for complex engineering problems, and apply sound engineering judgement to achieve safe, economical, practical and constructible engineering outcomes.

About you

Remain actively involved in engineering production whilst providing technical leadership to assigned Civil & Structural Engineers and Designers

Coordinate engineering activities to ensure consistency, technical quality and efficient project delivery

Provide technical guidance, design review and engineering support to graduate and intermediate engineers

Review engineering deliverables prior to issue where assigned

Support continuous improvement of engineering procedures, standards and design practices

Participate in technical meetings with clients, vendors, contractors and project stakeholders

Present engineering concepts, study outcomes and technical recommendations

Ensure engineering works comply with Company Quality Management System, Company HSE requirements, Client requirements, and applicable Australian and International Standards

Promote safe, practical and economical engineering solutions throughout project delivery
