Job summary

Resindo Group in Indonesia seeks a senior Mechanical Engineer to drive basic and detailed design for minerals processing projects. You will collaborate with project teams to optimize plant reliability, prepare PFDs, P&IDs and piping layouts while ensuring compliance with international standards.

The role requires eight+ years of experience, strong English communication, and the ability to travel to site. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential, with proficiency in engineering

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement improvements to enhance plant reliability and maintainability.
• Develop PFDs/UFDs and P&IDs to industry practice and standards.
• Design materials handling systems and piping layouts.
• Prepare design documentation, reports, specs, data sheets, and TQs in English.
• Coordinate design and drafting staff; support procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure proper design, construction and procedural adherence; conduct vendor inspections and FATs.

Job description

Develop basic and detailed engineering works in a professional Engineering organisation under the direction of the senior Discipline Leader / Manager. Work with Engineering and Construction personnel in the office and site to understand the key issues and identify ways to improve the Project Design and Construction using sound Engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

Identify, propose and implement areas for improvements to improve plant / system reliability and maintainability

Develop Process / Utility Flow Diagrams (PFD's / UFD's) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) to best industry practice and international Standards

Develop Materials Handling Systems and plant piping designs

Prepare design information and documentation for Projects; Reports, Design Criteria, Specifications, Data Sheets, Technical Queries, Meeting Minutes, etc. in English

Design supporting systems for OEM equipment

Coordinate Design / Drafting Staff

Support Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases of projects with activities including assisting with preparation of material estimates (MTO's), design packages, Operations & Maintenance Manuals

Ensure the appropriate Design, Construction and Operational procedures are followed during the execution of a Project

Undertake Vendor inspections, FAT's, Fabrication Quality & Progress reviews, develop Reports

About you

Minimum bachelor degree from reputable University majoring in Mechanical Engineering or related field of study

Minerals Project Experience; Materials Handling Systems, Minerals Process Plants including both Design and Field experience

Minimum eight (8) years relevant experience in last 10 years

Strong understanding of Design for Process Plants, Crushing Systems & Conveyors

Computer literate. Strong in Word, Excel, relevant engineering software

Team work and good communication skills, including English

Ability to work with multi-discipline projects and prioritise works in an overlapping project environment

Flexible to travel and work on site as required
