Job summary

Our client, a leading multinational coal mining company, seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to enhance the operational support infrastructure in Kalimantan Utara. The role covers planning, designing, and building or repairing mining facilities including roads, bridges, water channels, and buildings.

You will ensure compliance with HSE and project standards while coordinating teams across design and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil/structural engineering within coal/mineral mining.
• Willing to work under 9:2 roster setting.
• Experience with infrastructure projects in mining is a plus.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or similar software.
• Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate operational activity planning of the Civil Department.
• Ensure the work complies with safety, design specs, and standards.
• Analyze plans, surveys, maps, and data for project design.
• Assess soil and material tests for foundations and supports.
• Prepare cost estimates for equipment, materials, and labor.
• Manage construction, repair, and replacement of buildings and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and help resolve issues.
